Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a nonwoven sheet suitable for wiring circuit substrates or filters, etc., by laminating and integrating nonwoven fabric comprising polytetrafluoroethylene-based fibers with a woven fabriclike material.
CONSTITUTION: This nonwoven fabric sheet is obtained by discharging a mixed emulsion of polytetrafluoroethylene with a viscose into a coagulation bath, washing the discharged emulsion, sintering and drawing the resultant fibers, providing cut fibers having 0.5-30de single fiber size, accumulating the cut fibers and forming a web. On the other hand, multifilament yarn, having 20-1000de total size and formed from the mixed emulsion is used to from plain weave or leno woven fabric, which is then laminated to the web. The laminated material is subsequently treated by water jet punching and integrated to afford a nonwoven sheet having ≤300g/m2 basis weight. The nonwoven sheet further has ≥0.5 sheet strength index defined by the sheet strength index = tensile breaking strength × basis weight × 100 (the tensile breaking strength is a value measured by using a test specimen having 15mm slit width) and ≤150% value of sheet elongation.
