Title:
NONWOVEN POLISHING SHEET
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3628318
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently polish both of a polishing surface with small recesses and a flat polishing surface by a hand-held nonwoven polishing sheet.
SOLUTION: The nonwoven polishing sheet comprises: fibers sterically and undirectionally collected and joined at their intersection points to have 3-20 mm thicknesses; and abrasive grains attached in spaces among the fibers from the surface toward the inside. The sheet is flexible and cut to such a size as to be hand-held for polishing a polishing object. Further, the sheet is formed with a plurality of notched lines 2 arranged linearly at predetermined pitches in such a manner that the notched lines 2 pass in the surface or through both the surfaces. The sheet is folded back with the notched lines 2 as folding lines, thereby to polish the object with the cutting surfaces 3 exposed along the folding lines.
