Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solution containing a norbornene-based polymer having a high glass transition temperature, and also a low relative dielectric constant and a low dielectric loss tangent.SOLUTION: The norbornene-based polymer solution comprises a norbornene-based polymer of norbornene and an α-olefin, and a solvent. In the norbornene-based polymer solution, the norbornene-based polymer has a glass transition temperature of 240°C or more and 310°C or less, and a polystyrene-equivalent weight average molecular weight of 5,000 or more and 300,000 or less as measured by gel permeation chromatography. Viscosity of a 20 wt.% solution when the 20 wt.% solution obtained by dissolving the norbornene-based polymer in p-menthane is left for 24 hours at 23°C, is 31,000 mPa s or less. The norbornene-based polymer has a relative dielectric constant of 2.3 or less at 5 GHz and a dielectric loss tangent of 4.0×10or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
