Abstract:
To provide a fine foreign material detecting device for laver which is firstly excellent from the aspect of cost, secondly excellent from the aspect of space, and thirdly excellent in detection accuracy.SOLUTION: A fine foreign material detecting device 12 for laver is used in a manufacturing process of a laver A, and can detect and discriminate a fine foreign material B1 (in particular, fine metal) attached into the laver A by a transmission method. The detecting device comprises a conveyor 2, an intermediate light source 8, an intermediate camera 9, and discriminating means 5, and the like. The conveyer 2 transfers the laver A. The intermediate light source 8 is arranged at a predetermined position so as to face the laver A to be transferred. The intermediate camera 9 can receive irradiation light from the intermediate light source 8 as transmitted light via the laver A. When there is data with a threshold value or lower and an area value or higher set for the fine foreign material B1 about the data detected by the intermediate camera 9, the discriminating means 5 discriminates the data as having a fine foreign material B1 which cannot receive transmitted light. The intermediate light source 8 is made of an infrared light LED. The intermediate camera 9 is made of a digital monochrome line scan camera.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
