The notebook cover with a locking function includes: a locking mechanism 110 which connects a face on the front cover 200 side and a face on the back cover 400 side so that the notebook 5 can not be opened; a locking state controller 1124 which electrically controls the locking state of the locking mechanism 110; an authentication information storing part 1122 for storing authentication information; and an authentication-object information acquiring part 1123 for acquiring authentication-object information to be collated with authentication information. The locking state controller 1124 collates the authentication-object information with the authentication information input from the authentication information storing part 1122 and, in accordance with the result of the collation, controls the locking state of the locking mechanism 110.
