PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically notify a remote terminal of an operation state of a medical instrument without the function of notifying the remote terminal.SOLUTION: In accordance with an embodiment, a notification apparatus comprises detection means and notification means. The detection means detects a predetermined operation confirmation sound from a medical instrument. The notification means sends a notification to a predetermined terminal in response to the detection of the operation confirmation sound by the detection means.
