Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL: A compd. of formula I [wherein X is halogen; Z is H, CH3, CN, or C=CH; Y is H, halogen, CH2CN, OH, alkyl, CN, COO-alkyl, CO-alkyl, (CH2)m' O-alkyl, (CH2)m' S-alkyl, (CH2)m' N-alkyl (where in m' is 0-4), Si-alkyl, O-aryl, etc.] in any of the possible stereoisomer forms or a mixture of these stereoisomer.
EXAMPLE: 2,3,5,6-Tetrafluorophenylmethyl [1R[1α,3α(Z)]]-2,2-dimethyl-3-(2- chloroethenyl)cyclopropanecarboxylate.
USE: Pesticides for controlling parasites of plants and buildings, and parasites of warm-blooded animals.
PROCESS: An acid of formula II is reacted with an alcohol of formula III in the presence of an esterifying agent to give a compd. of formula I.
