Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL: An antibiotic represented by formula (wherein R is H or CH3).
USE: A control agent of coccidial infection in poultries, enteresis of livestock and dysentery of a pig.
PROCESS: Actinomadura roseorufa ATCC 53869, ATCC 53870, variants, transformants or recombinants thereof are fermented in an aq. nutrient culture medium containing assimilable carbon, nitrogen and inorg. salt sources under a submerged aerobic fermentation conditions.
