Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A bicyclic compound expressed by formula I (R is H or methyl).
USE: Useful as a medicinal agent having antitumor action and low toxicity.
PREPARATION: A compound expressed by formula II is condensed in the pres ence of a condensing agent to provide a compound expressed by formula I. Furthermore, although normally used protecting groups can be used as the amino-protecting group used in producing the starting material for the process of this invention, they are not preferably cleaved during reaction under reaction condition of the protected substance thereafter. For example, benzyloxycarboxyl ic acid, p-nitrobenzyloxycarboxylic acid and diisopropylmethyloxycarboxylic acid, are cited.
