Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5312926
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
1527829 Cement SOC EUROPEENNE DES PRODUITS REFRACTAIRES 20 July 1977 [22 July 1976 13 May 1977] 30498/77 Heading C1H A cement comprises a mixture of (1) 10-30 wt. per cent of an alkaline earth mineral substance selected from steelworks slags based on calcium mono- or di-aluminate or on calcium silicoaluminates, aluminous cements of calcium monoaluminate or calcium di-aluminate types, silicoaluminous cements, calcium or barium silicate and alkaline earth oxides previously calcined at very high temperature selected from magnesia, dolomite, calcium oxide and baryta; (2) 14 to 56 wt. per cent of a constituent having a particle size lying between 100 Angstroms and 0À1 micron selected from silica, chromium oxide, titanium dioxide, zirconia and alumina and (3) 14 to 56 wt. per cent of an inert filler having a particle size of 1 to 100 microns, the sum of (2) and (3) being 70 to 90 wt. per cent of the cement. A concrete may comprise 10-30 wt. per cent of the cement and 70-90 wt. per cent aggregate. The inert filler may be silica, alumina, magnesia, zirconia, titanium dioxide, bauxite, quartzite, dolomite, magnesite, chromite, zircon, granite, basalt, pure quartzitic sand, calcined clay, silicon carbide, silicon nitride, or silicon oxynitride. The aggregate may be rock (e.g. basalt, quartzite, granite, pebble), electrically fused or fritted oxide (e.g. corundum), calcined clay, calcined bauxite or carbonaceous matter (e.g. coke, coal, or anthracite). The cement may be used with dispersant additives, e.g. sodium tripolyphosphate.
