Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:The compound FU-10 of the formula (free base) or its acid addition salt. Basic white powder: m.p. 167W169°C: specific rotatory power, [α]20D = +89° (c=0.46, H2O); easily soluble to water, methanol; moderately soluble to ethanol, acetone,; and insoluble to organic solvents such as benzene.
USE: Intermediate of various aminoglycoside antibioticn such as fortimicia A, D, etc.
PROCESS: Micromonospora oilvoasterospora MK-70 (FERM-P No.1560) is cultured in a liquid medium (esp. by submerged technique with agitation), at 25W40°C and nearly neutral condition, and the objective compound FU-10 is separated from the cultured product.
