Abstract:

NEW MATERIAL:Form III crystal of Nα-[[(S)-4-oxo-2-azetidinyl]carbonyl]-L- histidyl-L-prolinamide.

USE: An improver for disturbance of consciousness and hypomnesia.

PREPARATION: Crystal of Nα-[[(S)-4-oxo-2-azetidinyl]carbonyl]-L-histidyl-L- prolinamide (compound A for short) is suspended in (i) 2W6 times, preferably 3 times as much as water under cooling with ice or dissolved in (ii) 3W6 times, preferably 4W5 times as much as water under heating and cooled with ice and formed crystal is collected. Form I crystal or form II crystal of the compound A may be kept in 100% relative humidity.
