Abstract:

NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula (R is lower alkyl, phenyl or benzyl).

EXAMPLE: 3-0-benzyl-5-0-6-N-[di-(2'-chloroethyl)- amino]cycloazaoxyphosphorinane-1,2-0-isopropylidene-α-D-glucofuranose.

USE: A carcinostatic agent, its precursor and intermediate.

PREPARATION: N,N-di-(2-chloroethyl)-phosphoroamidic dichloride is condensed to an amino alcohol having a primary amino group on a standard carbon atom of a monosaccharide and produced by protecting hydroxyl groups of the glycero groups except for a glycero group close to the above amino group with a protecting group. An oxyazaphosphorinane ring is constructed on a sugar skeleton by this process to obtain the objective compound.
