Abstract:

NEW MATERIAL:A dehydroacetate shown by the formula (R1WR4 are H, alkyl, or aryl).

EXAMPLE: Imidazole dehydroacetate.

USE: An antibacterial and antifungal agent. Having more improved antibacterial and antifungal effect than conventionally well-known dehydroacetate.

PREPARATION: Dehydroacetic acid is reaceted with imidazole or an imidazole derivative in water or an organic solvent such as methanol, or its mixture under heating at atout 50W 100°C to give a dehydroacetate shown by the formula.
