To provide a novel polymer having sufficient ion conductivity at a room temperature even in a state containing no solvent.
A dendrimer has a polymer chain, which contains a carbon skeleton represented by formula (I-1) or (I-2) (wherein m and n are each independently an integer, the formulae (I-1) and (I-2) express only a carbon skeleton, and at least one functional group selected from the group consisting of hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an organic group, and an organic group through a metal bond is bonded to each of carbon atoms so that bonding hands become 4 and forms a multiple bond along with an adjacent atom), and a hydrogen bondable polar group in a branched chain. An ion conductive polymer electrolyte containing the dendrimers is also disclosed.
