Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject processed yarn giving carpets, etc., highly improved in the grades of the products by imparting aqueous fluid flows on respective single filaments extruded from a spinneret from one side to asymmetrically cool the single filaments, drawing the single filaments in a specific ratio, and subsequently jetting a fluid on the drawn filaments.
CONSTITUTION: When nylon 6 or nylon 66 is melt-spun and subsequently processed into the crimped yarn, the objective crimped yarn is produced by imparting an aqueous liquid to filaments 13 extruded from a rectangular spinneret 2 mounted on a spinning head from one side with an aqueous liquid-imparting device 5a in a cooling chamber 4 protected with a holding cylinder 3 until the temperatures of the filaments are cooled to below 100°C, collecting and oiling the thus asymmetrically cooled filaments with an oiling nozzle 6, taking up the filaments with taking rolls 7 at a spinning speed of 1500-4000m/min, drawing the filaments 13 with drawing rolls 7' in a ratio represented by an inequality (D is a drawing ratio; V is a spinning speed (km/min), 1.5≤V≤4.0), subjecting the filaments to a crimping processing with a fluid-jetting nozzle 8, interlacing the filaments with a cooling dram 9 and an interlacing nozzle 10, and subsequently winding the processed on a package 12.
