Abstract:

To provide a novel hydrogen occlusion material which has high hydrogen occlusion capability and can occlude and desorb hydrogen under mild conditions.

The hydrogen occlusion material is a metallic material containing a metal element, oxygen, and optionally carbon. The metallic material is prepared by heat-treating a carbon material and a metal and/or a metallic compound at 350-950°C in the presence of oxygen.
