Abstract:

To provide: a novel hydroxy gallium phthalocyanine crystal not generating image degradation such as afterimages in a long-term repeated use, and achieving stable sensitivity characteristics and charging characteristics; an electrophotographic photoreceptor using the same; an image forming method; an image forming apparatus; and a process cartridge for the image forming apparatus.

The hydroxy gallium phthalocyanine crystal shows a main diffraction peak at a Bragg angle (2θ±0.3°) of 8.0° and 28.0° in an X-ray diffraction spectrum with a CuKα ray.
