NEW MATERIAL:An inositol derivative shown by the formulaI(R is H, or lower alkanoyl) and its aluminum salt.
EXAMPLE: L-γ-Glutamylinosamine.
USE: A remedy for peptic ulcer. Low toxic, safe, having improved effect especially on chronic ulcer. Peroral medication is preferable, and its dose for adult is about 500W5,000mg/day.
PROCESS: For example, N-carbobenzoxyglutamic acid is reacted with an inosamine derivative shown by the formula II (one of R1 and R2 is NH2 and the other is OH) in an organic solvent in the presence of a condensation agent. The reaction product is hydrolyzed in the presence of acetic acid, etc., a cyclohexylidene group is removed, and hydrolyzed in the presence of a catalyst, to give a compound shown by the formulaIwherein R is H.
