A pigment represented by formula II, III, or the like is used for a color filter. The organic base skeletons having acceptor properties is exemplified by anthraquinone, coumarin, perylene, or a derivative thereof. In the formulas, R1 to R2, R5, and R6, which may be the same or different from each other, are each H or an alkyl; X1 to X4, which may be the same or different from each other, are each S, O, NH, or Se; and Z is H or an alkyl.
