Abstract:
PURPOSE: To ensure superior fastness to heat, moisture and light by using a compd. represented by a specified formula.
CONSTITUTION: A compd. represented by the formula is used. In the formula, each of R1-R3 is H or a substituent such as alkyl, aryl or anilino, R2 and R3 may bond to each other to form a ring and X is H or a group which can be released by a reaction with the oxidized body of a color developing agent. A magenta color image formed from the coupler is fast to heat, moisture and light and the coupler is useful for a color photographic sensitive material.
