Abstract:
To provide a novel polymerization catalyst using a cluster halide and a novel method for polymerizing α-olefin using the catalyst.
The catalyst is characterized by using a cluster halide having the composition of (MaZr6ClxC)n, wherein M is an alkali metal atom; Zr is a zirconium atom; Cl is a halogen atom; a is 0 or 1, x is 14-16; n is 4-106.
