Abstract:
PURPOSE: A novel microorganism, belonging to the genus Pseudotorula and capable of shortening the time required for multiplication of plants by tissue cultivation.
CONSTITUTION: A novel microorganism Pseudotorula Sp 6, belonging to the genus Pseudotorula and different from Pseudotorula heterospora in that verrucous projections on filamentous spore surfaces are deficient. The microorganism is FERM-P No.8742 and deposited as Pseudotorula Sp 6 DK2006 strain. The above-mentioned microorganism is aerobic and the growth condition is 5.0W8.0pH and 10W30°C temperature. The optimum growth condition is 7.0pH and 25°C temperature. The microorganism is suitable for mass multiplication of cloned plants.
