Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cyanoacrylate polymer particle that is further useful than the conventional as an antimicrobial agent and anticancer agent.SOLUTION: Provided is an amino acid-based molecule-conjugating poly-cyanoacrylate nano-particle obtained by a method including anionic polymerizing a cyanoacrylate monomer under a condition in which at least one selected from amino acids and derivatives thereof as well as their oligomers and polymers is coexisting as well as in which any of saccharides or polysorbates is substantially not coexisting; said poly-cyanoacrylate nanoparticle exhibits a cytotoxic activity by specific adhesion to cells, and effectively inhibits the growth of cancer cells and microbes; by producing a nanoparticle by said novel production method, a poly-cyanoacrylate nanoparticle capable of increasing the particle cytotoxic activity, is provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
