NEW MATERIAL: A tricyclo derivative of formula I [wherein X is (CH2)n (wherein n is 2-4), vinylene or methylvinylene; R1 and R2 are each H, a halogen, an alkyl, an alkoxyl, hydroxyl, thiol, nitro, a (substituted) amino; Y is O, S or NH; R3 is formula II (wherein AIK is an alkylene; R4 and R5 are each H, an alkyl or the like), formula III (wherein R6 is an alkyl) or formula IV] and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof with a mineral acid or an organic acid.
EXAMPLE: 3-(2-morpholinoethylamino)-6,7-dihydro-5H-benzocyclohepta[5,6- c]pyridazine dihydrochloride.
USE: A remedy for cerebral cortex deficiency and Alzheimer's dementia.
PREPARATION: For example, a benzocycloalkan-1-one is treated with e.g. glyoxylic acid to obtain a compound of formula V [wherein A' is (CH2)n; and R7 is H or C2H5], and this compound is converted into a compound of formula I [wherein X is (CH2)n (wherein n is 2-4)] through the route of compounds of formulas VI and VII.
