PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel tripeptide and a peptide containing composition which are applicable to various fields, and use of these, and an eating inhibitor, an anti-obesity agent, an artery relaxing agent, a hypotensive agent, a metabolic syndrome preventive/ameliorative agent, or a food composition for appetite modulation, comprising these as active ingredients.SOLUTION: The invention provides a novel tripeptide comprising a sequence of pyroglutamate-arginine-phenylalanine derived from foxtail millet. The invention also provides an eating inhibitor, an anti-obesity agent, an artery relaxing agent, a hypotensive agent, or a metabolic syndrome preventive/ameliorative agent, which comprise the novel tripeptide. The invention also provides a food composition for appetite modulation, which comprises the novel tripeptide.
