Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a medicinal composition for treatment of symptom associated with cerebral ischemia by including 3,4,4a,5,10,10a-hexahydro-2H-naphth[2,3- b]-1,4-oxazines as active ingredients. CONSTITUTION: This medicinal composition contains a compound of the formula [R1 and R2 are each H or a 1-4C alkyl; R3 is OH or a 1-4C alkoxy; R4 is a 1-4C alkylthio, a 1-4C alkylsulfoxide, a 1-4C alkylsulfone, Cl, Br, I or CF3 ] having central action and noradrenaline activity and useful as a psychostimulant and an antidepressant or its acid addition salt, e.g. (-)-(4aR,10aR)-3,4,4a,5,10,10a- hexahydro-6-methoxy-4-methyl-9-methylthio-2H-naphth[2,3-b]-1,4-oxazine as an active ingredient.
