Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent material capable of being formed into various shapes while dispensing with wood resources apprehended to be exhausted, low in cost, easy to produce, imparting a natural feel or impression to a person, excellent in moisture resistance, water resistance and processability, generating no environmental pollution, easy in final disposal and generating no NOx gas. SOLUTION: A wooden material is obtained by immersing a fiber structure composed of non-wood part vegetable fibers in an emulsion type phenol resin dispersed aq. soln. and drying the impregnated fiber structure before molding the same. The excessive resin dispersed aq. soln. contained in the immersed fiber structure is removed before drying. For example, polyvinyl alcohol is used in the resin dispersed aq. soln. as a modifier for modifying a phenol resin.
