PURPOSE: To homogenize ponitration into the cast mold by increasing the density of heat coming into two ends of the outer and inner pipens of non-consuming nozzle for electroslag welding by respectively bending thereof outward and inward or by narrowing the gap therebetween to eliminate short circuit between the pipes and copper shoes.

CONSTITUTION: Pipes 2 to 7 and 16 and 17 are respectively welded on copper plates 10 to 14 and 18 and 19 and the tips of pipes 16 and 17 at the two ends thereof are bent outwards and inwards. Among welding core wires passing the pipes, the wire 28 and 29 coming out through the pipes 16 and 17 each bends outwards and inwards, thereby eliminating the possibility of short circuit between pipes 16 and 17 and copper shoes 26 and 27. The core wires 28 and 29 are brought close enough to the copper shoes 26 and 27 to ensure the penetration into ends. In addition, a space between the outer pipe 20 and the adjacent pipe 20 as well as the inner pipe 21 and the adjacent pipe 7 in reduced by about 1/2 to increase the density of heat coming into the end of the cast mold thereby ensuring the penetration into the two ends of the pipes.
