PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nozzle inspection apparatus and a component mounting system capable of preventing decrease of mounting accuracy by preventing a nozzle inappropriate for use being erroneously used on a component mounting apparatus.SOLUTION: A nozzle imaging camera 13 takes an image of a nozzle 2 held by a nozzle holder 3, and based on the acquired image, the nozzle inspection apparatus determines whether or not the nozzle 2 held by the nozzle holder 3 is appropriate for use. When the nozzle 2 is determined as inappropriate for use, the nozzle inspection apparatus removes the nozzle 2 from the nozzle holder 3 as an NG nozzle and place the same on an NG nozzle placing table 14A, and takes an OK nozzle from an OK nozzle placing table 14B to attach the OK nozzle to the nozzle holder 3.
