Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a nubuck-like raised woven fabric having a dry touch by cutting and raising polyamide fibers employed as at least a part of warps or wefts, and bending the formed piles to cover at least a part of non-raised fibers.

CONSTITUTION: The filaments of a polyamide such as nylon 6 are employed as at least a part of warps or wefts, preferably as the wefts, to form a plain woven fabric or twill, preferably the 1/2 to 2/2 twill because of being readily subjected to a raising treatment. The polyamide fibers are subsequently cut and raised with a raising machine so as to cover at least a part of non-raised fibers with the raised piles.
