Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a new nubucklike artificial leather approximating the appearance thereof to the elegance of the surface possessed by natural artificial leather nubuck at a low cost.
CONSTITUTION: This nubucklike artificial leather excellent in design appearance is obtained by forming a porous polyurethane layer having 50-400μm thickness on one surface of a substrate composed of a fibrous substance or the fibrous substance and a polymeric elastic body and exposing and opening pores on the surface thereof. In the artificial leather, an uneven pattern is formed on the surface thereof and recessed parts have a lower opening area ratio of the pores than that of protruding parts. Otherwise, the pores are exposed and opened in the protruding parts without exposing and opening the pores in the recessed parts. The recessed and protruding parts are different in hue.
