PURPOSE: To achieve a higher efficiency in the generation of an inclined magnetic field and further to realize a smaller size of the apparatus by incorporating an active shielding coil to suppress possible disturbance of an image, while the active shielding coil is arranged being separated at a distance from an inclined magnetic field coil.
CONSTITUTION: An active shielding coil 12 is set within a container housing a superconductive coil 1. With such an arrangement, the structure of a nuclear magnetic resistance apparatus can be such that an inclined magnetic field coil 3, an inner circumferential wall 9b of a container 9, an active shielding coil 12 and heat shielding plates 10 and 11 are arranged in the incremental order of radius, which allows the suppression of the generation of an eddy current to be induced in the heat shielding plates 10 and 11, associated with variations in an inclined magnetic field. As a result, adverse effect on an electrostatic magnetic field and the inclined magnetic field otherwise caused by the eddy current can be checked to prevent possible disturbance of an image. In addition, as a distance increase between the active shielding coil 12 and the inclined magnetic field coil 3, generation efficiency of the inclined magnetic field can be improved. Thus, the inner circumferential wall 9b of the container 9 can be positioned in a space make a distance, thereby avoiding a growing size of the superconductive coil 1.
