Abstract:

To reduce radioactivity of reactor water.

An electrolyzation tower 27 for gradually electrolyzing iron with low current density (a current value per unit area of an iron plate electrode) of 0.02 A/cm2 or less and an iron feeding device composed of including an oxidizing tower 29A for oxidizing, by hydrogen peroxide, iron ions produced in the electrolyzation tower 27 and an iron crud thereafter turned into the crud are installed. The iron ions produced in the electrolyzation tower 27 and the iron crud thereafter turned into the crud are oxidized by hydrogen peroxide in the oxidizing tower 29A, and the iron ions and the iron crud thus oxidized are fed to a water feeding system of a nuclear reactor.
