Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nuclear reactor emergency cooling system capable of preventing a sudden rise of a revolving speed at a time of starting a steam turbine from causing overspeed trip.SOLUTION: A nuclear reactor emergency cooling system 1 comprises: a steam stop valve 11; a steam adjustable valve 12; an oil replenishment pump 13; a steam adjustable valve drive 14; a steam turbine 15; a feedwater pump 16; and a control unit 20. The oil replenishment pump 13 is started in response to the start signal, pumps up oil in an oil tank 40 and feeds the oil to an oil supply passage at a predetermined discharge pressure. The steam adjustable valve drive 14 drives the steam adjustable valve 12 using the oil delivered from the oil replenishment pump 13 as control oil. The control unit 20 controls the steam adjustable valve drive 14 to open the steam adjustable valve 12 at a degree of opening from a full open degree of opening to a predetermined intermediate degree of opening before the steam turbine 15 is started by the reactor steam.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
