PURPOSE: To reduce the size of equipment and to decrease the oscillation to be generated by supplying a coolant to a superconductive coil by a coolant supplying device disposed on the outside of a reactor pressure vessel thereby putting the coil in the superconductive state.
CONSTITUTION: The coolant supplied from the coolant supplying device 6 is supplied through a coolant supplying piping 9 and a power supply board 5 to a superconductive wire 7 and the superconductive coil 1, by which the wire and the coil are put into the superconductive state. A powerful magnetic field in a radial direction is generated in the reactor pressure vessel 3 by applying a voltage from the power supply board 5 to the superconductive wire 7 and passing large current to the superconductive wire 7 and the superconductive coil 1. A potential difference is applied between electrodes 2 disposed on both sides of the superconductive coil 1 by applying a voltage to electric wires 8, by which the current is passed circumferentially to the internal fluid of the reactor pressure vessel 3. The fluid around the superconductive coil 1 is thereby run to the lower side of the reactor pressure vessel 3.
