Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a nucleation agent for crystallization composed of a specific phenylgermanium sesquioxide, effective for raising the crystallization temperature, giving fine crystals, increasing the degree of crystallization and improving the highspeed moldability, transparency and rigidity of a resin and useful for PP, etc.
CONSTITUTION: This nucleation agent for crystallization is composed of a phenylgermanium sesquioxide of formula I (X is H, a halogen, an alkoxy, a dialkylamino or an alkoxycarbonyl) such as the compound of formula II. The amount of the nucleation agent is preferably 0.001-1 pt.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of a crystalline polymer.
