Title:
NUCLEIC ACID-BINDING BICYCLOOCTANE DERIVATIVE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003055394
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a synthetic compound which is useful for obtaining an oligo saccharide specifically bound to a target nucleic acid in the specific sequence of a gene, and to enable the enhancement in the effect of an anti-gene method.

This dicyclooctane derivative represented by formula 1 [R1 is purine base, pyrimidine base, or bases similar to these nucleic acid bases; R2 and R3 are simultaneously hydrogen atoms, R5R6R7Si (R5, R6 and R7 are each independently a 1 to 5C alkyl or phenyl), a 1 to 5C alkanoyl or benzyol; or R2 is di(p-methoxyphenyl)phenylmethyl, and R3 is di-P(-OCH2CH2CN)N (i-Pr)2 (i-Pr is isopropyl); the stereochemistry of the 3-position is 3S or 3R]. An oligonucleic acid containing the bicyclooctane derivative as a constituent can recognize a specific base pair to form a three-chain nucleic acid.
