Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods of stably fixing nucleic acid molecules with variety of length on a substrate under mild conditions without requiring knowing the sequence of the nucleic acid molecule.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a linker molecule which has on one end a nucleic acid base binding site having a nitrogen mustard structure specifically binding guanine that is a nucleic acid base and which has on another end a site binding a substrate, the linker molecule being configured to link these by a hydrophilic linker. By using the linker molecule, a nucleic acid molecule can be immobilized on a substrate via a linker molecule under mild conditions in an aqueous solution.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
