Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a nucleic acid composition that is useful for clinical treatment of AIDS.

CONSTITUTION: This probe is a nucleic acid as a composition having about 10-250 nucleotides that can form preferentially a hybrid to rRNA or rDNA of Mycoplasma associated with AIDS than rRNA or rDNA of non-Mycoplasma microorganisms and of human. Further, said nucleic acid is a composition that can form a hybrid with 16S rRNA or 16S rDNA of Mycoplasma fermentans selected from the group consisting of the 50-100 area, the 130-165 area, the 160-200 area and the 420-470 area.
