To provide an antibody highly specific to an Nuf2 protein as a centromere protein constituting a cell nucleus, a production method of an Nuf2 protein immunoreagent containing the same, an antigen for producing the Nuf2 protein antibody, a detection method of the Nuf2 protein and a detection method of another protein interactive with the Nuf2 protein.
The Nuf2 protein antibody is an antibody specifically reactive with the Nuf2 protein and is obtained by immunizing a host animal using an antigen having, as an epitope (antigen-deciding group), CGGDYSAKIDEKTAELKRKMFMS among amino acid sequences constituting the Nuf2 protein followed by isolation from the body fluids of the host animal and purification. A blood serum of a rabbit and the like can be utilized for the immunization.
