To provide a system for estimating nugget thickness generated at a fusion point of spot welding by using an X-ray with good transmittance among non-destructive inspection methods.SOLUTION: The system for estimating nugget diameter includes: an X-ray source for irradiating a welding part with X-rays; an X-ray detection unit that detects the X-rays transparent the welding part; a processing unit that calculates the thickness of a nugget; and a thickness measurement unit that measures the thickness of a plurality of spot-welded metal plate members. The processing unit includes: a material information acquisition unit that acquires physical information of the metal plate members; an X-ray intensity acquisition unit that acquires the transmission intensity of the welding part as the X-ray intensity after passing through the welding part; a thickness-after-welding acquisition unit that acquires the thickness of the plurality of metal plate members after being spot welded of the plurality of metal plate members measured by the thickness measuring unit, an estimation calculation unit that estimates the nugget thickness by using the thickness of the plurality of metal plate members after being spot welded, the physical information of the metal plate members, the X-ray intensity before transmission of welding part, and the welding part transmission intensity.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
