Abstract:
PURPOSE: To surely decide the number of the uniform granular material by dividing the number of white and/or black picture elements by the previously set reference number of white and/or black picture elements.
CONSTITUTION: The numbers of black and white picture elements of respective patterns are measured according to position information on contour constitution picture elements of the respective patterns in picture elements. A decision device 100 decides that the pattern is a foreign matter when the number of the white picture elements is less than a 1st prescribed value or decides that a particle adheres to the pattern when the number of the black picture elements is larger than a 2nd prescribed value, and divides the number of the white and/or black picture elements by the previously set reference number of white and/or black picture elements to find the number of particles of the adhered pattern. Consequently, the number of the uniform granular material which is optionally dispersed and present can surely be decided with high precision as well as whether or not the material adheres and its number even if a foreign matter is present.
