PURPOSE: To obtain a corresponding Chinese numeric character with the input of Western numeric character by using a means which obtains an index from the input Western numeric character and its number of digit and refers to a Chinese numeric character table to decide the desired Chinese numeric character.

CONSTITUTION: A deciding part obtains an index from the input Western numeric characters and the number of digit and refers to a Chinese numeric character table to decide a number, a number location and KANJI (Chinese character) of a location. An output processing part controls the output of the KANJI decided at said deciding part. For instance, the data is supplied to an input buffer 12, and the execution is indicated to the conversion processing. Thus a deciding part 16 for number, number position and position at a KANJI converting part 13 refers a Chinese numberic character table 15 where the numbers, number location and location of KANJI are registered in response to the index and decides the number, number location and location respectively. These decided factors are delivered to an output buffer 14 via a decision/output part 17 for those factors. Then the data stored in the buffer 14 is displayed to a display and stored in a file.
