Abstract:

PURPOSE: To remove complication of a tool position-correction work by installing a practical correction value-memory unit memorizing a tool correction values in a Z-shaft direction of the tool and by controlling the tool by a signal of the above memory unit.

CONSTITUTION: At first, either a reference value correction mode or a practical value correction mode is selected by a mode-changeover unit 21. For the reference correction mode, by positioning the tool 11 on a reference end face of the chuck 13 for lathe, the value of a position-sensor 22 is filed in a memory-unit 23 as a present position, the reference value is input from a input unit 24 into an arithmetic unit 25 and the results arithmatically operated in the arithmatic unit 25 are filed in a reference correction value memory unit 26. Next, for the practical value correction mode, when a value L1 which is supposed to the length of a workpiece 12 is input in a input unit 27, the practical value correction of the tool 11 is filed in the practical correction value-memory unit 29. Thus, the complications of tool-position correction work can be eliminated.
