Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate a highly accurate cutting process by calculating the axis shift correction value corresponding to the present position based on the correction data on the cutting edge height of a tool and the present position data. CONSTITUTION:The correction value of a cutting edge height correction file 11 is used for actual measurement of the cutting edge height of each tool 21 attached to the tool set of a machine tool provided with an NC. This correction value is inputted via a keyboard like the tool correction value of a conventional tool correction file 9. Then the tool cutting edge height correction data corresponding to the tool commanded by a numerical control machining process are inputted from the file 11. At the same time, the present position data are inputted from a present position register 10 of an axial system set in the direction orthogonal to the axial line of a machining subject. Based on these data, the axis shift correction value is calculated in response to the present position. Therefore the error value if caused between the position of a cutting edge point and the rotation center of a cutting subject is inputted as the correction value of the cutting edge height. Thus a highly accurate cutting process is performed as prescribed by a machining program.
