To provide a numerically controlled automatic lathe improved to efficiently and continuously carry out various machining by applying face machining again to a workpiece cut from a bar chucked to a face machining spindle.
This numerically controlled automatic lathe is constituted to have a first headstock 10, a second headstock 22 and a third headstock 30, to carry out face-drilling by a drill 28 to the bar 40 held by the first headstock 10 (a collet chuck 11), to deliver a product 42 in the order of an arrow mark A and an arrow mark B as shown in the figure and to carry out face-finishing by a drill 29 to the product 42 held by the third headstock 30 (a chuck 36). The automatic lathe is further constituted to allow the drill 28 to carry out face-drilling (an arrow mark C process) to the bar 40 held by the first headstock 10 (the collet chuck 11), simultaneously with the delivery (an arrow mark B process) of the product 42 from the second headstock 22 (a chuck 24) to the third headstock 30 (the chuck 36).
