Title:
NUMERICALLY CONTROLLED GRINDING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06114683
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To correct the feed speed in grinding on the real time basis so that the optimum grind feed speed is generated irrespective of the degree of wear of a grinding wheel by furnishing a fuzzy reasoning means which uses, as the input variable, the deviation of the current diameter measuring value of a work from the corresponding theoretical value and the varying amount of deviation on the time axis and which uses, as the output variable, a value changing the grind feed speed.

CONSTITUTION: The theoretical value for the current diameter of a work W to be reasoned from the current position of a grinding wheel sensed by a current position sensing means, and the deviation of the corresponding measurement on the work W from this theoretical value is computed by a deviation computing means 31. A fuzzy reasoning means uses this deviation and its varying amount on the time axis as the input variable and uses the value to change the grind feed speed as the output variable, and on the basis of the value according to the reasoning by this fuzzy means, the current grind feed speed is altered by the speed control means 31. This permits securing the optimum deviation irrespective of the wear of the grinding wheel, which leads to prevention of the processing accuracy from dropping.
