Title:
NUMERICALLY CONTROLLED MACHINE TOOL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2012053508
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a numerically controlled machine tool capable of rapidly measuring the actual three-dimensional condition of a work-piece mounted on a table with a fixture.

A numerically controlled machine tool 100 comprises a tool measuring sensor 104 for measuring the length and diameter of a tool 101, a work-piece measuring sensor 105 for measuring the three-dimensional shape and the location and orientation of a work-piece 1 in a noncontact manner using laser light or the like, and a control device 106 for determining the location of a machining starting point and the inclination of a reference plane based on the information from the work-piece measuring sensor 105, determining the presence or absence of a machining load of a prescribed value or greater and the presence or absence of a leftover of the work-piece by performing a simulation of a machining process of the work-piece 1 into a desired final shape with the information from the sensors 104 and 105 and the location of the machining starting point and the inclination of the reference plane based on an inputted machining program, and displaying the determined result on a display device 112.
