To enable a medical worker to intuitively decide whether a current call is from a patient's portable handset to the nurse call base unit and vice versa.
In respect to any call from a patient's call handset to the base unit, a display shows at an upper part of the call notice screen the call items or contents from the patient, and in respect to any call from the base unit to a patient's call handset, the display shows at a lower part of the screen the call items or contents for which the patient is called. By this, concerning any call from a patient's call handset, the medical worker can intuitively decide that the call is from a patient's handset installed at a remote place from him, because the call items are displayed at the upper part of the screen. Concerning any call from the base call unit to a patient's call handset, the medical worker can intuitively decide that it is from the base unit installed at a place near him, because the patient's call items or contents are displayed at the lower part of the screen.
